For anyone who's a fan of Jaws, they may or may not know that today marks the true 30th anniversary of that film. It was originally unleashed on theatres in North America on June 20th, 1975 and went on to become the highest grossing picture of its time with its worldwide gross of $470,000,000.Looking back on Spielberg's ouvre, Jaws is also one of the finest films he's ever made, and genuinely worth celebrating.
Anyway, in honour of the event I'm having a Jaws movie party at my place which I think will be lots of fun. We have a few friends coming over and there should be some themed snacks. I just bought the 30th anniversary edition of the DVD so it'll be cool to take it on a test drive with the new surround sound system.
"It's like God created the devil, and gave him...Jaws."
