Farscape Makes Its Mark In Comics

According to ICV2, BOOM! Studios Farscape comic is selling very well for them. They've hit the multiple printings point with the first two issues and things are looking good for the immediate future. It's kind of nice to see another franchise other than Buffy or Angel able to do well in this post-television-series-conclusion-rebirth-as-a-comic-book market. I'd be curious to know how these new books compare sales-wise with the two issues put out by Wildstorm some years back. I thought the comics were solid reads with great production values at the time (written by Marv Wolfman, I believe, with art by Robert Taranishi?) but clearly did not sell well enough to continue with more minis beyond the first.

Now if I can just finish up the frelling television series so I can actually read the damn things...

Getting Leverage

I had heard of this project from John Rogers' blog and wondered if it would be worth checking out. I enjoyed his work on The Core, Eureka, the unaired Global Frequency pilot, and several comic book projects so I hoped there would be something cool to draw me in. Well, this preview has pretty much done that.

At the very least, I'll try the pilot out and see how it plays. Timothy Hutton's not a bad catch, and Christian Kane appeals to the ol' Angel fan in me, so fingers crossed on this one.

Season 4 Is Almost Here

Hey, I genuinely enjoy the show and the rest of the young'uns like it too, so no wise-cracks. I've just got my hands on Season 1 (making that two complete seasons I have) and I've also been playing the PS2 game today so I'm kind of in the zone for the ol' KP today.

Looking forward to this premiere.
